After several demanding weeks filled with lectures, projects, laboratory work and exams, GREENANO cohort 2 students celebrated the end of the semester with a moment that truly reflected the spirit of the programme: creative, meaningful and international.

To mark this important milestone, an artistic workshop was organised, bringing together science and art in an inspiring and hands-on experience. Guided by two international artists whose work is influenced by nature, culture and scientific research, students created paintings inspired by their research projects, cultural backgrounds and personal stories.
“At GREENANO, we prepare future scientists to think beyond disciplinary boundaries. Art plays a key role in fostering creativity, openness and critical thinking — essential skills for addressing the complex challenges of the green and digital transition,” explains Tatiana Banderova, Director of International Relations.

This initiative highlighted how art and science naturally complement each other, reinforcing innovation, collaboration and the human dimension of scientific research.

The day concluded with a student-organised international food evening, featuring homemade dishes from around the world. Sharing food, cultures and conversations created a warm and memorable atmosphere, strengthening the sense of community within the programme.

Students are now preparing to continue their academic journey with Semester 2 in Italy, another exciting step in this European master’s programme.
The entire GREENANO team wishes them every success in the next phase of their studies.
